Climate Change

Treat your planet like you want to be treated!!
global

We are dedicated to our mission "to educate, advocate, and mobilize communities to take action on climate change, with the ultimate goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting our planet for future generations".

“The world is reaching the tipping point beyond which climate change may become irreversible. If this happens, we risk denying present and future generations the right to a healthy and sustainable planet – the whole of humanity stands to lose.” ~Kofi Annan, Former Secretary-General of UN

Our vision is a world where individuals and communities understand the impacts of their actions on the environment and are empowered to make sustainable choices that preserve the natural world for future generations, while also addressing the pressing issue of climate change, mitigate its effects and adapt to its unavoidable impacts.

# why climate change comes main priority of the JEEVAN DARSHAN FOUNDATION :-

  • The Earth's average surface temperature has risen by about 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius) since the late 1800s, with about two-thirds of the warming occurring since 1980.
  • The five warmest years on record have all occurred since 2010.
  • The concentration of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere, which is a major contributor to global warming, has risen by about 40% since the Industrial Revolution began in the 1700s.
  • Sea levels have risen by about 8 inches (21 centimeters) since 1880, with almost half of that rise occurring in the last 25 years.
  • The Arctic sea ice is melting at a rapid rate, with the summer sea ice shrinking by 13.4% per decade since 1979.
  • The frequency and intensity of heat waves, droughts, and heavy rainfall events have all increased in many parts of the world.
  • Some species of plants and animals are shifting their ranges and migration patterns in response to changing temperatures and rainfall patterns.
  • Climate change destabilises the Earth’s temperature equilibrium and has far-reaching effects on human beings and the environment. A distinction is made between direct and indirect effects of climate change.
  • . During the course of global warming, the energy balance and thus the temperature of the earth change, due to the increased concentration of greenhouse gases, which has a significant impact on humans and the environment.
Keep calm and let's save the earth.
Prevent pollution, protect nature

These are just a few examples of how climate change is affecting the Earth :-

  • Rising maximum temperatures
  • Rising minimum temperatures
  • Rising sea levels
  • Higher ocean temperatures
  • An increase in heavy precipitation (heavy rain and hail)
  • Increase in the proportion of violent tropical cyclones
  • Increase in aridity and drought
  • . Decline in Arctic sea ice and snow cover
  • . Nglacier recession and retreat
  • Thawing permafrost

Here are some indirect consequences of climate change, which directly affect us humans and our environment:-

  • An increase in hunger and water crises, especially in developing countries
  • threat to livelihoods from floods and forest fires
  • health risks due to increase in frequency and intensity of heat extremes
  • economic implications of dealing with secondary damage related to climate change
  • the increasing spread of pests and pathogens
  • loss of biodiversity due to limited adaptability and adaptability speed of flora and fauna
  • ocean acidification due to increased HCO3 concentrations in the water as a consequence of increased CO2 concentrations
  • the need for adaptation in all areas (e.g. agriculture, forestry, energy, infrastructure, tourism, etc.)
“Climate change is a terrible problem, and it absolutely needs to be solved. It deserves to be a huge priority.” ~Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft

What is the impact of Animal agriculture on the environment?

Animal agriculture, particularly industrial-scale livestock production, has a significant impact on the environment. It is a major contributor to deforestation, water pollution, and air pollution. The large-scale cultivation of feed crops for livestock also contributes to habitat destruction, soil erosion, and loss of biodiversity. In addition, animal agriculture is a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions, including methane from enteric fermentation in livestock and nitrous oxide from manure. Overall, animal agriculture is considered to be one of the leading causes of environmental degradation worldwide.

Action plan For Climate change By Jeevan Darshan Foundation:-

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive climate change strategy that addresses both mitigation and adaptation measures.
  • Partner with other organizations, both non-profit and government, to amplify the impact of your work and share resources.
  • Raise awareness about the urgent need for action on climate change through public education and outreach efforts, such as social media campaigns and public events.
  • Encourage individuals, businesses, and governments to take actions to reduce their carbon footprint, such as using renewable energy, increasing energy efficiency, and reducing waste.
  • Invest in research and development of new technologies and practices that can help mitigate the effects of climate change, such as carbon capture and storage, green buildings, and sustainable agriculture.
  • Work with policy makers to advocate for climate-friendly policies at the local, state, and federal levels, such as carbon pricing, renewable energy standards, and regulations to curb emissions from major sources like power plants
  • Invest in community-based projects that help vulnerable communities adapt to the impacts of climate change, such as building sea walls, and providing support for sustainable agriculture.
  • Continuously measure, monitor, and report the organization's own environmental impact and progress towards achieving their goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and update the action plan based on the progress and new information

Currently, with regards to Climate change, Our main priority is to associate & Collab with all National, International organizations, Non profit organization, and Communities of like-minded people who are working on Climate change & Environment issues in the world.

We are dedicated to raising awareness about the impacts of climate change and promoting solutions to mitigate and adapt to its effects. JDF focuses on research, education, and advocacy efforts to raise awareness about the causes of climate change, such as the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and land-use change. We also work to promote sustainable practices and policies that can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and slow the pace of climate change.

Activities That Jeevan Darshan Foundation Is working on For climate change Issues:-

  • Raising awareness of climate change In Society through Different campaigns, Activism, Talk
  • Conducting research to better understand the impacts of climate change and the effectiveness of different mitigation and adaptation strategies
  • Developing and disseminating educational materials and resources to help people understand the science of climate change and the actions they can take to reduce their own carbon footprint
  • Advocating for policies and regulations that promote renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable land-use practices
  • Partnering with other organizations and stakeholders to raise awareness about the impacts of climate change and build support for solutions
  • Providing support and technical assistance to communities and organizations that are working to adapt to the impacts of climate change and build resilience to future impacts

Jeevan Darshan Foundation (JDF) rely on donations, grants, and volunteers to carry out t work For Humanity, We are run by a board of directors that are passionate about the cause and are committed to do their part in addressing this global problem.

For young people, climate change is bigger than election or re-election. It's life or death.” “By polluting the oceans, not mitigating CO2 emissions and destroying our biodiversity, we are killing our planet. Let us face it, there is no planet B.”

Climate change is the greatest threat to our existence in our short history on this planet. Nobody's going to buy their way out of its effects
